Jose Vargas

Jose was drafted in 2008 by the Chicago White Sox in the 22nd round out of Ventura College and played 3 years in the organization. He continued his career with independent ball for 6 years, holding the single season RBI record in the Frontier League. In 2017 and 2018, Jose played in Mexico hitting 105 homeruns with a .290 batting average in 5 seasons, and in Venezuela where he received the MVP title. In 2019, Jose continued his career playing for team Mexico in the Premier 12, where history was made as the first team to represent Mexico and qualify for the Olympics.
